Giant Isopods are a genus of aquatic Crustaceans found in the depths of the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Ocean. They display what is known as “Deep-sea gigantism,” as they can attain a size of up to 2 Ft (0.6 M.) These Isopods are a light pink color and have up to thirty carapace segments. They have massive and highly reflective compound eyes with almost 4,000 Facets.


Giant Isopods eat from whale carcasses, sea cucumbers, protozoa and possibly live fish.
