The Leaf Nosed Snake is a species of Colubrid snake endemic to Madagascar. They are named for their tapering snouts and the wood-gray color of their bodies. This camouflages them among the trees. An adult can grow to be over 20 in (50 Cm) long, yet are only about half an inch (1 Cm) wide. The snake preys mostly on small reptiles that it catches among the trees.
