Whip Spiders belong to an order of diverse arachnids. Whip Spiders are large and a dull brown or black color. Their Pedipalps are large and lined with sharp, thorn-like spines. They use these to catch prey. Their legs are thin and unusually long and help the animal sense vibrations.

Despite their appearance, Whip Spiders actually make good pets as they are non venomous and require little care.
